Composition Brands in Greenville, MI is seeking a Fabrication & Stamping Engineer to design, develop, implement, and improve metal fabrication and stamping processes. You will work with production, quality, maintenance, tooling, and project teams to optimize dies and equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-efficient manufacturing.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, capability studies, and collaboration across departments to enhance safety, efficiency, and throughput.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
3-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in metal stamping and fabrication.
Experience with high-volume production environments; support for progressive and transfer die operations.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain metal stamping processes for various dies.
Analyze press utilization, cycle times, and throughput to improve productivity.
Troubleshoot stamping quality issues such as burrs, splits, wrinkles, and dimensional variation.
Coordinate die tryouts and production launches for new products.
Support tooling transfer from prototype to full-scale production.
