Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a fabrication-focused role in California to work with clinicians and patients on orthotic and prosthetic devices. The work occurs in a workshop setting away from exam rooms, emphasizing hand skills and tool familiarity.

You will fabricate, adjust, and repair devices, coordinate orders, and educate patients on device use and care per physician instructions. This is a hands-on fabrication position with opportunities for growth and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record within policy standards.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses such as cervical orthoses, pressure gradient hose, and trusses.
• Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations
• Contact vendors to order orthotic fabrication materials and maintain inventory of items used during fabrication process.
