Job summary

Kelso Industries’ FabLogix facility in Duncan, SC is seeking a Safety Specialist to manage daily safety programs and drive a proactive safety culture in a pipe fabrication environment.

You will conduct inspections, audits, and training to ensure OSHA compliance, company policies, and customer requirements while reducing incidents; investigate concerns and implement preventive actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety walks and facility inspections.
• Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures for welding, cutting, grinding, rigging and material handling.
• Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and safety logs, and generate weekly/monthly safety reports.
• Investigate workplace injuries and near misses; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety trainings; maintain training records and certifications.
