Job summary

Sure Steel, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Project Manager to oversee structural steel projects from post-award through fabrication and delivery. You will coordinate detailing, procurement, production, and shipping to ensure on-time completion within budget.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, building schedules, managing RFIs, and coordinating with field teams. Requires 5+ years in steel fabrication PM, strong communication, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Experience in structural steel estimating, including change orders and pricing.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, or related field; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project setup and planning to review contract, scope, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate detailing, procurement, fabrication, coatings, and shipping to support erection.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and design coordination with GCs and engineers of record.
• Track costs, budgets and forecast cost-to-complete; report margin and risk to leadership monthly.
• Visit jobsites and lead progress meetings, ensuring field conditions and issues are resolved.
