Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project management preferably in steel fabrication/erection
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering a plus
• Self-starter with ability to work in team or independently
• Pro-active with urgency to meet bid and project demands while balancing company needs
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking with good oral and written communication
• Proficient with MS Office and project management tools
• Local travel 25–40% and ability to pass background and drug tests

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to meet goals on time and within budget
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors
• Transfer project knowledge across teams including safety, scope, and instructions
• Expedite change orders and RFI processes to maintain schedule and price
• Review invoices and billing; ensure timely payments and closeout documentation
• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate deliveries from shop and vendors
• Travel to project sites for meetings with design teams and customers
• Assist PM Director in developing policies, procedures and training
