Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Summer Intern - Process Engineering (Fabrication) to join our Indianapolis fabrication team for the summer of 2027. The intern will develop and maintain processes for equipment in the fabrication department in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Onsite work is required and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities include implementing new processes, solving machining issues, programming CNC machines using G-Code, and supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing associate or bachelor degree.
• Experience with process, machining, stamping and fabrication preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
• Ability to establish priorities and manage time; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing new processes to the plant
• Problem-solve machining and stamping issues
• Program CNC machines using G-Code
• Identify critical spare parts and coordinate with maintenance
• Support shop floor layout with AutoCAD
• Collaborate with other plant employees in a team
• Stay current with new technology and suggest process improvements
• Communicate professionally with all levels
