Job summary

Dover Food Retail is hiring a Machine Operator I in Madison, GA. You will fabricate assemblies and parts per engineering drawings, set up using fixtures, and stage components for production.

The role requires basic reading, math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with 1–2 years of operator experience preferred. Responsibilities include ensuring quality against drawings and BOMs, reporting issues, and participating in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of production machine operator experience preferred.
• Strong reading and math skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering documents and standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures to fabricate parts.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs for accuracy.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions.
• Diagnose process and quality issues and recommend improvements.
• Reject defective parts per policy.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and cross training.
