Job summary

Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry, seeks a Fabrication Manager for our Oakland, NJ production facility. You will oversee daily fabrication activities across two shifts, plan schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will coordinate tooling, materials, and machines from laser to paint lines, lead training, maintain PM logs, and partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance to hit production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7-8 years in fabrication with manufacturing/assembly exposure.
• Ability to read detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience leading production teams and schedules.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fabrication activities across first and second shifts.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules from forecasts and data.
• Manage workload across Machine and Paint Shop to meet needs.
• Ensure data in ERP and MES reflects production status and inventory.
• Train staff and maintain PMs; ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production.
