Job summary

Under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, this hands-on leadership role schedules work, troubleshoots equipment, programs machines, and drives Lean initiatives including 5S and waste reduction, while mentoring the team and collaborating with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of metal fabrication leadership experience.
• Hands-on with fiber lasers, turret punches, and press brakes.
• Strong troubleshooting and machine programming ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day fabrication operations while ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met.
• Schedule and assign work based on priorities, staffing, and machine availability.
• Monitor performance using production boards and track WIP and key production metrics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber lasers, turret punches, and press brakes.
• Program and adjust machines as needed to support production and rework.
• Drive Lean initiatives including waste reduction, standard work, and 5S improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering to review and improve BOMs and part designs.
• Partner with Purchasing to ensure proper material flow and minimize downtime.
• Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing a strong safety culture.
• Track employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
• Support special fabrication projects and assist other departments as needed.
