Job summary

Phoenix Manufacturing is seeking a Fabrication Manager for our Glasgow, Missouri facility. Lead welders, fabricators, fitters, and operators; ensure schedule adherence, safety, and quality.

Role involves hands-on leadership with end-to-end planning, release, and loadout responsibilities. You will collaborate with engineering, safety and purchasing to meet project requirements while driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field preferred.
• Fabrication Supervisory experience: 5 years required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings.
• Familiarity with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW welding processes.
• Experience with fabrication equipment (burn tables, press brakes, plate rolls, etc.).
• MRP systems (Tekla) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AISC, ASME, AWS, ISO codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication shop production to meet objectives.
• Coach and mentor direct reports for growth and engagement.
• Manage employee relations, safety, and housekeeping.
• Create work schedules aligned to production plan; approve overtime as needed.
• Hire, train, and develop production personnel to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve drawing issues and improve quality.
• Document variances and drive issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and ensure on-time delivery of orders.
• Lead annual performance reviews for production staff.
• Enforce safety policies and address hazards immediately.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and cost-saving ideas.
