Job summary

Amtex Precision Metals is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to move sheet metal and components across the production floor. You will oversee inbound receiving, verify quantities, inspect for damage, and confirm certifications for traceability.

You’ll store materials, stage to work orders, and safely load/unload trucks using forklifts and other equipment. The role supports production, ensures on-time deliveries, and reinforces safety protocols while maintaining accurate ERP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification compliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178.
• Physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and stand long periods.
• Background in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics preferred.
• Comfort with basic math and reading work orders/shipping manifests.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong communicator and teammate.

Responsibilities

• Inbound control: verify quantities to purchase orders and inspect for damage/defects.
• Inventory integrity: store materials and record receipts in the ERP for real-time accuracy.
• Staging & kitting: pull to work orders and shipping schedules; label and stage materials.
• Material movement: load/unload trucks and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead lifting equipment.
• Production support: deliver to workcells and move finished laser parts to storage/shipping.
• Safety leadership: follow PPE and lockout/tagout procedures; report hazards.
• Inventory accuracy: assist with cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation.
• Collaboration: coordinate with supervisors and operators to hit production goals.
