Job summary

CST Industries, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to maintain outside storage of raw materials, stage materials for operations, and release orders as needed.

You will safely operate a forklift and overhead crane, keep designated areas organized, and track inventory movements from receipt to issuance.

Strong computer skills (MS Office), good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, non-air-conditioned manufacturing environment are required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintain and organize outside storage of raw materials. Stage materials for operations to run in order needed as you release orders for them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promotes a safe and accident-free workplace.
  • Maintain organization in designated areas.
  • Stage material for shop use
  • Release workorder based on shop need
  • Makes inventory movements as product mover through the shop.
  • Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stocked and issued.
  • Safely drive and operate a forklift
  • Safely Operate overhead crane.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three-month related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment.
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and interpret CST and customer prints and documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.
  • Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Advanced level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (D365) Preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Walk, must be able to move about inside the manufacturing and office and occasionally on a construction site or outside of the manufacturing facility.
  • Use hands/fingers to feel, must be able to operate computers, machinery, dimensional equipment.
  • Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing. Standing on concrete floors and uneven terrain will be required frequently.
  • Climb and balance, must climb stairs and ladders.
  • Stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
  • Talk/hear, must be able to communicate with operators and management frequently and exchange accurate information.
  • Lift and carry weights of 50lbs or more.
