Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) in Hobart, Indiana. The role involves receiving, unloading, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate records using various material handling equipment.

You will operate forklifts and tow motors, load and unload materials, and help with inventory and packaging tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Good communication skills; attention to detail and organized.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• ADA requirements: medium work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, etc.

Responsibilities

• Handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or with equipment including tow motors and forklifts.
• Perform receiving tasks, verify shipment condition, and maintain records.
• Load/unload materials from trucks and docks; operate industrial trucks and forklifts as required.
• Assist with inventory and packing tasks; ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Follow Daifuku QMS policies and drive continuous improvement.
