Chief Industries is seeking a general machine operator in Lincoln, NE. You will perform general machine operation, set up tooling, process parts, and inspect final products on multiple fabrication machines.

A focus on safety, quality, and efficiency is required as you work independently or with a team. Your duties include reading fabrication drawings, using hand tools, and recording data in the operating system.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of hand tools such as tape measures, squares, and protractors.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication and ability to read shop drawings.
• Ability to operate various fabrication machines.
• Knowledge of machine operation, capacity, and routine maintenance.
• Ability to set up tooling as needed.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority.
• Operate various fabrication machines (e.g., punch press, shear, press brake).
• Set up tooling as needed.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport materials.
• Complete routine paperwork and enter data into the operating system.
