Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks a Basic Machine Helper to support brake presses, punch turrets and automated laser machines. You will assist with setup, loading and unloading, and keep work areas clean to ensure smooth production flow.

Starting pay is $19/hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, tooling setup, data entry, and maintaining safety and quality in the fabrication department. This entry-level role offers hands-on machine experience.

Qualifications

• Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Help set up, load and unload machines and assist machine operators within the Fabrication Department.
• Stack finished product in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
• Assist in bending/cutting of raw materials.
• Participate in reducing waste, actively participating in team problem solving processes, and maintaining quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints. (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling.
• Ability to lift and move materials within the required safety guidelines.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Performing repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer/math skills
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Prescreen assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, loading material, and assisting the operator.
• Support the setup of tooling and dies.
• Maintain cleanliness around the machine area, including tools and equipment.
• Computer data entry.
