Job summary

American Hydro in York, PA, is seeking a Helper to support grinding of radii, runner finishes and deburring, with basic blueprint reading and setup assistance for fabrication and welding tasks.

The role involves masking parts for blasting/paint, operating cranes and forklifts, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. No licenses required; GED/HS diploma or related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Basic blueprint reading.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, jib cranes and forklifts to move components for grinding.
• Perform final upgrade grinding on runners and wicket gates.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Assist fabricators and welders as needed and read blueprints.
