Job summary

JBS USA in Omaha, NE seeks a Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the fabrication area, ensuring orders are met and yields remain within target.

You will lead a team, conduct safety walks, collaborate with Quality Control, manage hours, and support policy development. This on-site role requires resilience in a loud, hot or cold environment and up to 55 hours weekly with some Saturday work and travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations, preferred but not required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry, preferred but not required
• Experience leading a team preferred but not required

Essential Job Functions

• Manage daily operation from fabrication orders to comply with customer orders


• Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and from previous day to make necessary adjustments


• Perform safety walks at the start of each period correcting any non-compliance issues


• Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality


• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees


• Keep track of employee hours


• Contributes to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures


• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position

Required Experience

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations, preferred but not required


• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry, preferred but not required


• Experience leading a team preferred but not required.
