Weil-McLain, a leading North American brand of hydronic heating systems, seeks a Fabrication Engineer to improve the cost of quality and assure products, processes, and systems meet company expectations. You will focus on the fabrication function and implement Standard Work Instructions while expanding Lean culture across the plant.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sheet metal manufacturing, strong experience with SolidWorks/Creo, and proficiency in ERP/PLM tools, with a BS in Engineering and

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Sheet metal fabrication knowledge.
  • Lean manufacturing tools and implementation experience.
  • Engineering change management and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect instructions.
  • Knowledge of ISO requirements and GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Improve cost of quality and ensure products, services, and manufacturing systems meet company standards.
  • Develop and implement standard work instructions and lean initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to fabrication processes (turret press, stamping, brake, welding, paint).
  • Conduct time studies, data development for rates, line balancing and cost estimates; drive workplace improvements.
