Job summary

Aagard is seeking a hands-on fabrication lead in Minnesota to coordinate daily cell activities, mentor teammates, and keep production on schedule. You will resolve equipment issues, assist with tooling and parts, and ensure organized, smooth workflow with minimal WIP.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and strong communication with internal and external customers while supporting ongoing process improvements and leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for assigned work, coordinating the daily activities of the fabrication cell.
• Train and mentor team members to ensure skill development and role proficiency.
• Remove obstacles, solve problems, and empower cell members to perform their best.
• Prioritize and complete production tasks on time, maintaining a 'can't believe they pulled that off' mindset for expedited and high-impact projects.
• As a working lead, operate fabrication equipment proficiently to meet production needs and address equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist team members with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to parts, tooling, and processes.
• Address and resolve equipment-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure parts are labeled, organized, and flow efficiently with minimal work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.
