Oldcastle Infrastructure in Avon, CT, is seeking a Fabrication Associate for our indoor precast manufacturing team. No prior construction experience is required; we train you from day one and provide a clear path to advanced training and higher pay as skills grow.

Qualifications

• No prior construction, rebar, or manufacturing experience required; training starts day one.
• Ability to read basic blueprints, shop drawings, or bend sheets is desirable and can fast-track progression.
• Strong reliability, consistency, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs in indoor manufacturing tasks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn structural designs and assembly of reinforcement cages using automated tying tools and precise jigs.
• Layout complex cage structures and operate radius and angle-bending equipment.
• Operate automated shear lines to measure, cut, and kit materials for production.
• Place pre-cut steel components into fabrication jigs for fast assembly.
• Use lightweight tying tools to secure cages consistently and safely.
• Progressively learn radius and angle bending and shear line operations as trained.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe indoor shop environment.
• Follow safety, quality, and production schedules.
