Job summary
Western Alliance Bank in Phoenix seeks a Principal Engineer I to lead performance optimization, reliability and governance of Microsoft Fabric and related analytics platforms across Data Factory, pipelines, notebooks, lakehouses, warehouses and Power BI.
You will partner with data engineers, analytics developers, business analysts, enterprise architects and stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure workloads, designed, deployed, monitored and optimized to enterprise standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Advanced to expert experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI environments, including RBAC, gateways, deployment pipelines, logs and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Optimize, automate, and maintain the Fabric analytics platform for scalability, security, governance, reliability and performance.
- Provide end-to-end performance engineering support across Fabric components and Power BI.
- Triage production issues, latency and capacity incidents and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to optimize pipelines and data processing.
- Design and maintain observability practices using Fabric, Power BI, and Azure telemetry.
