Job summary

2020 Companies, Inc. seeks a seasoned data engineer to architect scalable client data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, delivering analytics that directly influence client dashboards and revenue opportunities.

You will develop reliable pipelines, implement incremental loads, and design robust dimensional models for cross-client reporting in an Agile environment, with strong collaboration with BI developers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and Delta Lake experience.
• Microsoft Fabric experience — you’ve built it, not just read about it.
• Dimensional modeling you can defend in a design review.
• Power BI semantic model optimization experience.
• Experience building scalable ingestion frameworks.
• A track record in client-facing or revenue-driven analytics environments.
• Uses critical thinking to break down ambiguous problems, evaluates tradeoffs, and makes sound, data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable Microsoft Fabric pipelines and notebooks for analytics and reporting.
• Implement incremental loads, watermarking, and merging logic.
• Design ingestion patterns to onboard new clients rapidly.
• Engineer monitoring and observability to prevent SLA breaches.
• Ensure data quality and reliability across datasets for trusted analytics.
• Design data structures that scale across multiple clients.
• Collaborate with BI developers to maintain high modeling standards.
• Contribute to GitHub workflow and future dbt integration roadmap.
