Job summary
Western Alliance Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, seeks a Principal Engineer I focused on Microsoft Fabric performance. You will optimize the Fabric analytics platform across data pipelines, notebooks, lakehouses, and Power BI reports, while ensuring security, governance, and reliability.
Collaboration with data engineers and stakeholders is essential to design scalable analytics workloads.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience in data analytics platform operations and administration.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Fabric related experience.
- 3+ years of Microsoft Power BI related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters preferred.
Responsibilities
- Optimize and maintain the Microsoft Fabric analytics platform for scalability, security, governance, reliability, and performance.
- Provide end-to-end performance engineering support across Fabric components including Data Factory, pipelines, notebooks, lakehouses and Power BI reports.
- Design, build, and maintain the Power BI analytics platform with a focus on security and performance.
- Establish observability using Fabric, Power BI, Azure Monitor, logs, and telemetry.
