Job summary

ValueMomentum is seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Architect to shape end-to-end architecture on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, and AI services. You will lead design across data engineering, data science, BI and AI workloads, and oversee governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires deep Banking & Financial Services analytics experience, hands-on work with Fabric components and Azure data tools, plus strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Banking & Financial Services data domains.
• 12–16 years of overall IT experience with hands-on data platform work.
• Experience with Data Lakes/Lakehouse and Data Warehouses, BI and analytics.
• Hands-on Azure data services: ADF, Databricks, dbt; Microsoft Fabric suite.
• Proven experience with data governance, security, and MDM.
• Ability to lead architecture workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience in AI solution delivery and large-scale data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform.
• Lead solution design across Data Engineering, Data Science, BI and AI workloads.
• Architect Fabric components such as OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse.
• Ensure banking regulatory compliance, security, governance and risk controls.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and align tech to business objectives.
• Provide architecture governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Job description

Location: Billings Montana (onsite) or nearby states allowing the candidate to travel frequently.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong understanding of Banking & Financial Services data domains such as Customer 360, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Treasury, Lending and Regulatory Reporting.
• 12–16 years of overall IT experience
• 12-15 + years of hands-on experience designing Modern Data Platforms including:
• Data Lakes / Lakehouse / Data Warehouses
• Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric components including:
• Fabric OneLake
• Fabric Pipelines
• Fabric Notebooks
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, dbt and other Azure data services
• Proven experience in Banking & Financial Services analytics use case analysis, source system analysis and data quality assessment. Experience with Fiserv Core platforms is a big advantage
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms, high-volume datasets and analytical models

Key Responsibilities :
