Job summary

CDW seeks a Consulting Data Architect to design and implement innovative data and AI solutions for enterprise clients. You will lead architecture, prototyping, and production readiness for Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Power BI, and Generative AI patterns, guiding teams across geographies and client engagements.

You will validate concepts, deliver reusable accelerators, and craft governance and business cases while maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, including 3 years on large enterprise cross-brand projects or 11+ years with similar scope.
• Experience with enterprise data platform implementation, analytics, and AI-enabled solution delivery.
• Hands-on delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions: Data Engineering, Data Factory, OneLake, Direct Lake, semantic models and pipelines.
• Practical experience with Generative AI: Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Copilot, embeddings and prompt engineering.
• Strong data engineering skills: SQL, Python, Spark, ELT, CI/CD, and platform-level optimization.
• Ability to define data and AI governance, security, and responsible AI controls.
• Travel willingness to CDW locations or client sites; valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Microsoft Fabric architectures with OneLake, Power BI, data engineering, real-time analytics, Copilot, Azure AI, and Generative AI patterns.
• Lead development of AI-enabled solution patterns including retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, embeddings, and semantic analytics workflows.
• Build proofs of concept, accelerators, reference architectures, and templates for production-ready outcomes.
• Lead project teams and coordinate client and coworker efforts in solution design and development.
• Develop business cases and solution benefits for customer deliverables and proposals.
• Provide oversight across projects to ensure synergy and governance; manage budget considerations.
• Review deliverables for technical content accuracy and quality assurance of SOWs.
• Maintain client relationships as trusted Technical Advisor and communicate across departments.
• Support proposals and quotations with technical input and demonstrations.
