Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a hands-on technician to stock the fab with chemicals and manage inventory using BAAN software. The role includes barrel/tote changes, pallet jack operation, and preventative maintenance on CDU’s.

This is a shift-based position with early mornings and alternating Wednesday coverage. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic electronics/mechanics knowledge, and the ability to read schematics, troubleshoot, and work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, computers, calculators, and proper use of common hand tools and hardware components.
• Ability to read, understand and follow electrical schematics, pneumatic and liquid flow diagrams.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and ability to diagnose operational problems.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to policies.
• Capable of starting, stopping, and operating equipment within design limits.

Responsibilities

• Stocking the fab with chemicals.
• Manage inventory and purchases through the BAAN software program.
• Barrel/Tote change out on CDU’s.
• Pallet Jack Operation.
• Empty tote cleaning and recycling.
• Preventative Maintenance on CDU’s (Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual).
