Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Fab Shop Welder with Pipe Welding Experience for our Braddock, PA shop. The role covers reading blueprints, selecting welding methods, setting up equipment, and welding components in various positions.

You will work with safety protocols, maintain equipment, and support repairs. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a team-focused environment across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Be willing to authorize background check.
• Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism.
• Have valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation.
• Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
• Have good communication skills.
• Have good attendance and show up to work on time every day.
• Have strong basic math and measuring skills.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Be able to pass welding tests for stick and flux core.
• Have an eye for quality and strong attention to detail.
• Be self-motivated and eager to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications and drawings.
• Operate tools and equipment to prepare the parts that must be welded together.
• Align components using jigs, clamps, calipers, rulers, and other devices.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Assist with repairing machinery or equipment as needed by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Perform basic safety checks and preventative maintenance functions on tools and equipment.
• Inspect, set up, use, break down and rig equipment on job sites.
