Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) in Braddock, PA is hiring a Fab Shop Welder to join our nationwide tank-construction team. You will read blueprints, select welding methods, set up components, and perform welding in multiple positions while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Familiarity with welding processes and safety practices.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications and drawings.
• Operate tools and equipment to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using jigs, clamps, calipers and other devices.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Inspect and perform basic safety checks; maintain a clean work area.
