Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors is seeking a welder/fitter to perform welding in the Fab Shop and assist with layout and project planning. You will follow OSHA standards and maintain equipment, while keeping the workspace clean and organized for safe operations.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic math, and the ability to pass a GMAW pipe test. A high school diploma or GED is required, and the candidate must hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and interpret piping layouts.
• Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to pass a pipe test (GMAW).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all welding in Fab Shop.
• Assists with the layout of work projects.
• Follows all OSHA and TP Mechanical Contractors standards for safety.
• Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed one equipment.
• Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
