Job summary

TP Mechanical Contractors seeks a skilled craftsman for its fabrication shop in Columbus, OH. The role includes assembling fixtures, carriers, hangers, with light soldering, and reading blueprints to support on‑time work starts.

The selected candidate will communicate with TP Mechanical personnel, maintain safety standards, manage materials for timely completion, and uphold quality to ensure project profitability. High school diploma or GED required; Med Gas Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings.
• Communicates effectively with shop personnel.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials to ensure timely completion of the work scheduled.
• Strengthen skills to encourage improvement in other plumbers or fitters; emphasize improvement of procedures.
• Focus on safety practices during all task assignments.
• Ensure quality and profitability by eliminating waste in materials and labor.
• Coach and train lower echelon mechanics to ensure quality, production, and safety.
• All other duties as assigned.
