DESCRIPTION:

Supervisor for the 1st shift fabrication department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a packing house (beef preferred) to understand the products produced
• Knowledge of products and specifications is essential
• Ability to motivate workers
• Bilingual skills are important but not mandatory if translators are available in the line area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee a group of employees in a safe and professional environment
• Ensure proper communication and feedback between the team and upper management
• Guide the team through daily tasks and monitor performance for maximum productivity
• Meet product specifications, quality standards, yields, and adhere to the production schedule
• Work with trainers on onboarding new hires to ensure understanding of their roles
• Ensure the area is properly staffed according to crewing standards to meet production needs
• Participate in weekly meetings, safety meetings, and annual trainings as required by JBS
• Performance will be evaluated by Superintendents and the General Foreman based on KPIs
• Comply with all company and union regulations regarding hourly employees
• Attend daily supervisor meetings
• Complete all required audits, safety/PPE checks, and touch-and-go procedures
• Handle discipline procedures for hourly employees, ranging from verbal warnings to termination
