Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing in Ellsworth, KS is hiring a 2nd Shift Fab Operator to join our fabrication team. The role runs Monday-Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities include operating fabrication equipment, reading prints, using tape measures and calipers, and maintaining safe, clean work areas while following OSHA regulations and PPE requirements. Preferred candidates have experience with fabrication equipment and strong teamwork.

Fab Operator - 2nd Shift - Ellsworth, KS

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Fab Operator at our Ellsworth Facility.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to run equipment throughout the fabrication department
• Ability to use and understand AS400
• Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment helpful
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
• Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
