Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Box Shop Production Supervisor for the A Shift in Grand Island, Nebraska. This role oversees daily Box Shop operations, ensuring timely production and availability of boxes and packaging materials to support plant operations.

You will lead hourly employees, promote a safe work environment, ensure quality, and maintain production records and equipment cleanliness. Strong leadership and Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of meat processing and subsequent job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Box Shop operations to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met.
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees assigned to the Box Shop.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
• Ensure all boxes, packaging materials, and related products meet quality specifications.
• Complete required production and operational paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and maintained according to company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of boxes, packaging materials, and supplies; communicate replenishment needs as necessary.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to support operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain employee documentation and records.
• Attend supervisor meetings and provide input regarding production, staffing, and operational improvements.
• Conduct regular employee meetings to communicate safety, quality, and production expectations.
• Coordinate and administer training for Box Shop employees.
• Manage employee performance and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work closely with production departments to ensure packaging needs are met efficiently.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
