Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking a Box Shop Supervisor to oversee daily Box Shop operations, ensuring timely production and availability of boxes and packaging materials. You will lead hourly employees, uphold safety, quality, productivity, and compliance standards, and coordinate training and performance management.

The role requires 2–5 years of production experience and knowledge of meat processing; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Box Shop Supervisor

The Box Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Box Shop, ensuring the timely production and availability of boxes and packaging materials to support plant operations. This position provides leadership to hourly employees while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and compliance standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Box Shop operations to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met.
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees assigned to the Box Shop.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
• Ensure all boxes, packaging materials, and related products meet quality specifications.
• Complete required production and operational paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and maintained according to company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of boxes, packaging materials, and supplies; communicate replenishment needs as necessary.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to support operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain employee documentation and records.
• Understand and comply with all applicable union regulations and company policies.
• Attend supervisor meetings and provide input regarding production, staffing, and operational improvements.
• Conduct regular employee meetings to communicate safety, quality, and production expectations.
• Coordinate and administer training for Box Shop employees.
• Manage employee performance and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work closely with production departments to ensure packaging needs are met efficiently.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
