Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a Sr. Test Technician to join our on-site team on first shift. You will perform disassembly, re-work, assembly, and testing of electrical and electronic equipment to support production and maintenance goals.

The role involves working in a regulated environment with potential overtime and a temp-to-hire pathway. You will read schematics, operate oscilloscope and multimeter test gear, log data, and document results while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in electronics manufacturing/testing or completed OJT on at least 10 products.
  • Ability to read schematics and diagnose faults.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, power analyzers, and other test instruments.
  • Experience with manual and automated test equipment and data logging/analysis tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis on analog and digital circuitry.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Become a Key Player as a Sr. Test Technician

You will perform assembly, disassembly, re-work, and testing of electrical/electronic equipment to support production and maintenance goals. You will work onsite in company facilities on a first shift schedule (8 hours/day), with possible weekends, overtime, and a temp-to-hire engagement model. Your work directly impacts product airworthiness, production throughput, and cross-functional teams that rely on timely, accurate testing.

  • Perform disassembly, assembly, re-work, and testing of electrical/electronic equipment
  • Set up and utilize manual and automated test equipment to conduct tests and troubleshooting of digital and analog circuitry
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose faults and perform failure analysis to the component level
  • Record work accurately on maintenance/test records and document test results and non-conformances
  • Follow written and verbal instructions and complete work according to specifications with limited supervision
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation; participate in 5S and area efficiency projects
  • Assist other departments as needed and complete required training to maintain job proficiency
  • Comply with safety-sensitive requirements, including FAA drug screening and random testing
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing/testing environment or completed OJT on at least 10 products
  • Strong ability to read schematics and understand circuit function
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, power analyzers, and other test instruments
  • Experience with manual and automated test equipment (ATE) and test data logging/analysis tools
  • Proven troubleshooting and failure analysis skills on analog and digital circuitry to the component level
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and perform typical physical tasks of an electronics technician
  • Solid verbal and written technical communication skills and general computer literacy (MS Office)
