Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician to support FAA contracts across NY airspaces, with responsibilities including field operations, equipment installation, and network testing. The role requires travel within a 3-hour radius of Buffalo, NY and obtaining FAA security clearances.

Applicants should have strong cable, fiber, and network testing knowledge, plus the ability to configure routers/switches and work with various test sets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Must obtain DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support in NY airspaces and support FAA contracts FTI, ADSB, DCNS and other programs.
• Install equipment racks and perform cable/connectivity work (RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449).
• Configure routers and switches; use network test equipment for T1/DS3 testing.
• Travel within a 3 hour drive from Buffalo, NY area; may require up to 100% travel to remote sites.
• Obtain FAA Security Clearance from a Public Trust background investigation.
