Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Environmental & Safety Professional to support the FAA EOSH program across the Central Service Area. You will blend fieldwork with technical reporting, tackle diverse environmental and safety challenges, and help keep critical infrastructure safe, compliant, and resilient.

The role emphasizes analytic reporting, stakeholder collaboration, travel for field assignments, and delivering practical EOSH solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health or related field; 4–8 years experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years experience.
• Hands-on environmental, health and safety experience required.
• Able to work at heights and obtain fall protection training/certification.
• Strong analytical, reporting and program assessment skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; capable of presenting EOSH reports.

Responsibilities

• Support FAA EOSH programs across disciplines including asbestos, lead, mold, chemical waste, drinking water and more.
• Conduct environmental and safety sampling using diverse instrumentation.
• Perform site inspections, identify risks, and prepare clear, technically sound reports with actionable recommendations.
• Manage inspection data in digital platforms and maintain organized docs.
• Inspect workplaces for fall hazards and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate safety equipment and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Deliver training connecting technical content to real-world work; assess learner performance.
• Coordinate field travel and liaise with FAA stakeholders on EOSH compliance.
