Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic in Great Falls, MT to maintain and modify aircraft structures and powerplant systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and engines, ensuring airworthiness. You will read blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot faults, perform inspections on flight line and hangar, document work in logs, and lead teams on complex tasks when required.

The position requires an A&P license, US citizenship for clearance, English proficiency, and occasional travel;

Qualifications

• Must hold a current A&P license.
• Must obtain CBP Background Investigation clearance; US citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of airframe and engine systems and repairs.
• Working knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and structural modification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical publications and manuals.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Able to meet deadlines and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, flight line and hangar maintenance on assigned aircraft.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and fault isolate aircraft systems.
• Lead teams through complex aircraft tasks when required.
• Record entries in aircraft logs and maintain logs/records.
• Travel occasionally to support customer missions.
