Job summary

SUMMARYThe Server will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and serve food and beverages items. Servers will ensure tables are clean and bussed and all work areas are clean and stocked. To succeed servers should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. Servers should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAll Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.Use hospitality standards to make guests feel welcome and important.Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter all sales into the point-of-sale system.Serve courses from kitchen and service bars within established time limits.Clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each course.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation requirements in serving areas, restaurant floor, and in server stations.Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices.Observe Guests, respond to any additional requests and monitor when beverages are consumed for alcohol safety requirements.Total bill, collect payment, and make change.Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information etc...Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.The list of essential job functions is illustrative of the minimums ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.
