Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all items on the prep list following standard procedures or supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain high quality standards, inspecting all food products for quality.
  • Check portion control, weights, and counts prior to service.
  • Cook food for service and line presentation.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures.
  • Follow storage procedures when handling food from walk-in refrigerators.
  • Keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and storage areas meet health standards.
  • Prepare food following recipes, production, and portion standards.
  • Label and rotate perishables according to standards, maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Check inventory levels, prepare necessary items, and note shortages.
  • Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
  • Assist in preparing for special events or meal requirements.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
