Job summary

The Carolina Inn is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee food and beverage areas at the Carolina Inn. The role emphasizes scheduling, forecasting, training, and adherence to all laws and SOPs while coordinating hotel events.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, with food and beverage cost control experience a plus. Ideal candidates will have 3 years of restaurant or bar management and 5 years total hospitality experience, with proficiency in back-office

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a restaurant or bar manager; Fine Dining experience preferred but not required.
• 5 years of overall restaurant experience; Front of House preferred.
• Strong food & beverage knowledge; Bar knowledge.
• Working knowledge of back office restaurant management software; Payroll and scheduling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, overseeing FOH staff.
• Provide guests with a memorable experience to encourage return visits.
• Respond to guest complaints and inquiries.
• Ensure quality product delivery to guests and maintain service standards.
• Lead the team, provide constructive feedback and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Forecast and maintain inventory cost-effectively; ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
• Assist in interviewing, scheduling, and payroll processing; participate in monthly/quarterly inventories.
