Job summary

The Glen Club in Glenview, IL is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to plan and run daily F&B operations with a strong focus on banquet events. The role aims to improve profitability and guest satisfaction while delivering top-tier service and product quality.

You will forecast budgets, oversee menus, promotions, and presentations, and guide a team to meet and exceed financial goals. Strong leadership and wine/spirits knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher preferred.
• Illinois Food Handlers Certification and Illinois Basset Certification required.
• 1–3 years of previous restaurant and/or banquet management.
• Knowledge of wines and spirits; POS proficiency.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; budgetary awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of F&B outlets with a focus on Banquet business.
• Develop and manage annual budget, forecasts, and objectives to meet/exceed goals.
• Deliver exceptional quality, service, and product to members and guests.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure clear communication with staff.
• Assist in marketing menus, promotions, and displays within corporate guidelines.
• Oversee recruitment, training, coaching, and performance reviews of staff.
• Monitor inventory, CO-GS, safety and sanitation compliance; maintain equipment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and respond to feedback to improve future sales.
