Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts offers a fast-track Food and Beverage Manager-in-Training (MIT) program for recent hospitality graduates. The 12-month experience immerses you in all areas of F&B to build a foundation for a long-term HEI career.

MIT will shadow leaders, rotate through Outlets, Banquets and Culinary, learn PMS systems, and manage labor costs while engaging customers and attending leadership meetings.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the leaders within all Outlets, Banquets and Culinary departments.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Outlets at the hotel and in the Banquets department.
• Attend department meetings within the Food and Beverage discipline and leadership meetings at the hotel.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by F&B.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and resolve problems to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Understand steps of service for all meal periods.
• Ensure compliance with F&B SOPs and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
