Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated in Oak Grove, KY is seeking a dedicated F&B Cashier to ensure quality guest service, assist with food item preparation and handle all cash transactions at the concession stand.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, greet guests, maintain stock, assist with opening and closing inventories, and comply with safety and service standards while standing 8–10 hours per shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.

• Greet guests approaching the service area.
• Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all food service equipment used to prepare and serve the menu items.
• Must be able to operate all equipment in the stand.
• Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices.
• Ensure proper stock of product and supplies needed for service.
• Responsible for opening and closing inventories.
• Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
• Performs clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.

Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The F&B Cashier will ensure consistent quality products, responsible for the preparation and sale of all food items per menu standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests
• Greets guests approaching service area
• Responsible for preparing and selling all food items on the menu and handling all cash transactions.

• Knowledge of concession stand operations.
• Maintaining interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
• All internal and external guests must be treated in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Service Standards
• Able to interact with internal and external guests in a friendly/fast manner.
• Ability to work effectively with others

• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high pressure situations in an interruptive environment
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
