Job summary

Port Madison Enterprises at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort is seeking a part-time Café Host(ess)/Cashier to warmly welcome guests, seat them promptly, and assist Food & Beverage staff as needed.

Key duties include providing superior customer service, learning the seating rotation, keeping the host area clean and organized, coordinating with team members, and following food safety and storage guidelines during busy dining periods. This is a day shift position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; food preparation training helpful.
• Food handlers card required.

F&B- Café Host(ess)/Cashier

General Position Summary:

Provides guest service by properly seating guests at their table(s), cleans dining areas and assists Food and Beverage staff as needed.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Sees to all of the needs of the dining guests by providing clearly superior customer service
• Ability to learn and follow the room rotation system for seating guests.
• Assists in keeping the host/hostess area clean and organized
• Actively practices the customer service standards
• Assists coworkers with rolling silverware and other assigned side work duties.

Secondary Functions:

• Assist other staff as requested

Specific Job Skills:

• Organized and able to carry out tasks at direction of supervisor/(manager)
• Excellent customer service experience
• Understanding of food preparation, storage and safety
• Able to communicate well with both guests and employees
• Able to work well with others, cooperative and friendly
• Must be 16 years of age

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED. Some food preparation training is helpful.
• Food handlers card required.

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include working in dining areas during busy times of the day and night in smoky, noisy and crowded conditions. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lb. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Manual and finger dexterity for handling serving dishes, and other equipment.
