Job summary

The Barnett Hotel in New Orleans is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations across its dining outlets, bars, and banquet spaces. You will help supervise staff, uphold service standards, and support budgeting, scheduling, and training to drive departmental results.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of hotel or restaurant F&B experience, strong leadership and guest-service skills, and familiarity with POS systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and banquet operations is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily F&B operations across restaurant, bar, lounge, and banquet areas.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
• Ensure service standards, food safety, and sanitation guidelines are met.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and cost control measures.
• Oversee cash handling, reporting, and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with Culinary team, Banquets, and Front Office to ensure seamless service.
• Support execution of special events, banquets, and promotions.
