AVMAC LLC in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled F/A-18 powerplant mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair F404-GE-402 engines and related systems on the F/A-18 aircraft. This role requires meticulous diagnostic work, adherence to safety standards, and detailed maintenance documentation.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of US Navy/Marine Corps F/A-18 experience, the ability to read technical manuals, and proficiency with NALCOMIS.

Formación

• Minimum four (4) years’ experience with USN/USMC F/A-18 Aircraft preferably as a Power Plant Mechanic.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Should be a self-motivator and work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
• Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties. Must have a valid driver license.
• Ability to read and interpret technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks. US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
• Must be qualified as a Plane Captain and Capable of operating support equipment.
• Training in Basic Aviation, Aviation Machinist Mate (AD), Class A1 (Aviation Machinist Mate - Jet Engine), and F/A-18 Power Plants and related systems organizational maintenance of equivalent.
• Ability to document maintenance utilizing the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS)
• Knowledge of Naval maintenance publications and maintenance requirement cards and OPNAVINST 4790.2H

Responsabilidades

• Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft engines, fuel systems, and secondary power systems of moderate difficulty.
• Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers manuals.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
• Ability to troubleshoot engineer, APU, secondary power and airframe related systems.
