Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to support F-35A/F135 propulsion operations at the new site activation in East Hartford, CT. You will assist in preparations ahead of first aircraft arrival and work hands-on with engines, aircraft, and squadron personnel.

The role requires 8+ years in engine maintenance or logistics, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Occasional extended hours during deployments are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; non-technical degrees considered with related experience.
• 8+ years in aircraft gas turbine engine maintenance or logistics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required; eligible for security clearance.
• 3+ years assignment length; may require extended hours during deployments.

Responsibilities

• Support F-35A/F135 operations including systems, tooling, material and processes.
• Interact with engine hardware, aircraft and squadron personnel.
• Coordinate propulsion system maintenance with PW team and partners.
• Report on aircraft and engine status, flight reports and maintenance data.
• Support Government Property Management for SE, tooling, and processes.
• Provide timely insight to PW management on issues and customer relations.
