Job summary

RTX is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support F135 propulsion systems at Swidwin Base, Poland. This customer-facing role requires a DoD Secret clearance and will involve working with PLAF and PW teams to ensure safe engine operation and maintenance.

The position is 3+ years in-country with potential 5-year maximum and requires hands-on engagement with engines, aircraft, tooling, and data systems. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; non-technical degrees considered with related experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in aircraft gas turbine engine maintenance or logistics.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Willing to commit 3+ years; able to deploy and work off-shift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparations for F-35A operations at Swidwin Base.
• Provide hands-on support of F135 propulsion systems, tooling, and maintenance with PLAF/PW teams.
• Perform controls for aircraft download processing and monitor PHM/MBITs.
• Advise customer on maintenance per technical data and safe procedures.
• Coordinate propulsion maintenance with PW, PLAF, and Lockheed Martin.
• Collaborate with PW teams to troubleshoot issues and adapt to priorities.
• Ensure reporting on aircraft and engine status, flight reports, and parts consumption.
• Support Government Property Management for SE, tooling, and supply processes.
• Provide timely insights to PW management about issues and customer relationship.
