Job summary

RTX is seeking a motivated Site Lead and Technical SME for the F135 propulsion systems at Eielson AFB in Alaska. You will serve as the trusted technical authority, delivering expert guidance to the 354th Fighter Wing and leading collaboration with Pratt & Whitney teams to ensure optimal engine performance and mission readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years in engine/aircraft maintenance and logistics, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in engine or aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contract obligations.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
• Ability to rotate between first and second shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the F135 Site Lead and propulsion system SME for the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson AFB.
• Provide technical support for the installation’s F135 propulsion systems and related tooling and maintenance.
• Interact with F135 hardware/software, aircraft interfaces, and squadron personnel to optimize system performance.
• Engage with USAF leadership and maintainers to address operational concerns and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with Pratt & Whitney teams to troubleshoot issues and support evolving customer needs.
• Lead cross-functional investigations to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Coordinate field issue handling with Engineering, Operations Center, and Logistics Program Management.
• Uphold Environment, Health, Safety, and CORE principles.
